Clearwire, Sprint close WiMax deal
Sprint Nextel and wireless wide-area network operator Clearwire have completed a deal to create a new company and build a nationwide WiMax network with help from Intel, Google and three cable operators.
Sprint loses another 1.3 million wireless customers
Sprint Nextel posted a net loss of $326 million for the third quarter of 2008, punctuated by the loss of another 1.3 million wireless subscribers for the quarter.
